Interpretation of statistics from leading news organizations.
Data visualization has exploded on the Internet. It's hip, it's often beautiful, and, when done well, it can describe data and trends in a way that words just can't.
But beware: visualizations are often inaccurate--created by those who may understand design better than statistics. To check accuracy, make sure the creator cites the original data source and that you can find, understand, and trust the data source yourself. Check the comments if the visualization appears as a blog post; data experts aren't shy if they see an error or abuse of data.
